PHOENIX -- Week 13 in the high profile murder trial of Jodi Arias got off to a rocky start Tuesday morning. After complaints from Arias' defense team, Judge Sherry Stephens booted a female juror identified only as "Juror No. 5" off the case.

The juror reportedly had made inappropriate comments to other jurors.

Stephens, however, denied the defense team's motion for a mistrial.

After the juror's dismissal, defense witness and domestic violence expert Alyce LaViolette returned to the stand and continued to chip away at the image of Travis Alexander as a successful and religious young man.

Based on her examination of hundreds of text messages and e-mails, LaViolette told the 17 remaining jurors about what she called Alexander's "aggressive sexuality," jealousy and possessiveness.
