TACOMA, Wash. -- What's wrong with this sentence?

"Are you interested in Pubic Charter Schools?"

Catch it?

Read it again.

The phrase appeared in an advertisement in Sunday and Monday's editions of The Tacoma News Tribune.

Jim Spady said the sentence was missing an 'L' in a very unfortunate place.

"This was our mistake," said Spady, a spokesperson for the Washington Charter School Resource Center, the organization who wrote the ad.

Spady said his organization sent the text to the paper.

The News Tribune's marketing manager, Sue Piotrkowski, said the paper added graphics to the ad and returned it to the organization for final approval.

No one noticed public was spelled pubic.

"It's an honest error," said Piotrkowski.

The News Tribune is running the third installment of the ad Wednesday. The 'L' has been added to the text.

The organization ran the ad to raise awareness about a conference all day Saturday at the UW-Tacoma.
