Phoenix -- The victims of an alleged pit bull attack have spoken out about their horrifying experience.

Cristal Smith said she was bitten by Maria Aparicio’s dog Tuesday night during an altercation about a broken window.

“It jumped straight over the fence and bit my chest,” Smith said.

Smith said two weeks ago Aparicio’s 10-year-old son smashed one of her windows after getting upset when her daughters wouldn’t come out and play.

Smith approached Aparicio about the broken window, which is when Aparicio allegedly decided to let her pit bull loose.

“She deliberately told her son to open the second gate back there and let the dog out,” Smith alleged.

The dog went on to bite Smith and her two daughters.

Aparicio was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault. She appeared before a judge on Wednesday and expressed her fear that the incident could cause her to lose her job.

“I have a very good job, single mom, sole provider of all five of my kids. I’ve been doing so well. We’ve been doing so well,” Aparicio said.

The dog has been quarantined by Maricopa County Animal Care & Control.
