PHOENIX -- Officers are looking for a suspect accused of shooting two teens in a home invasion -- as well as his partner in crime!
The shooting left two brothers, ages 15 and 18, in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries in the area of 4th Street and Roeser.
Police said they believe the incident was drug-related.
"We have information that the residents inside the home were most likely cultivating marijuana and so there is indications of that," said Sgt. Trent Crump with Phoenix Police.
Police said the two armed men busted down the door at about 9 o'clock Tuesday night, but the teens tried to keep them out.
"When resistance was given at the front door, the round was fired, we believe from the suspects gun, striking the second suspect. He literally fell into the home injured and this propelled the suspect to come in and shoot the occupants of the home," said Crump.
The suspect-turned-victim, who is described as in his 40s, is in the most serious shape but is expected to survive.
Police are still looking for the shooter, who is described as a thin, black male between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a black and red sweatshirt, jeans and ball cap.
