NEAR SHOW LOW, Ariz. -- The search continues for a missing Apache Junction man who disappeared nearly two weeks ago.

Jeff Block, 58, called his dad on Wednesday, July 25 to let him know that he was on his way to Show Low and couldn't make it back to the Valley for dinner as planned.

The men, along with another son, were leaving for their annual fishing trip to Colorado early the next morning.

"He mentioned a sum of money, which led me to believe that he was probably driving up there to collect money from someone he had sold something to. But purely a guess on my part," said Sherwin Block, who is that last known person to have talked to Jeff.

Jeff Block has been struggling with unemployment for the last few years, but Sherwin doesn't believe that has anything to do with his son's disappearance.

"I've asked myself that question, but ... that doesn't seem like Jeff to me, but that can't be ruled out either."

Block left in his 2005 white Dodge Ram pickup with Arizona license plate 975-SNR.

His dog Blue, a white wolf mix, was also with him.

Officials with the Pinal County Sheriff's Department says there has been no activity on Block's cell phone or with his bank account.

Block's family says he is in good health, so they're puzzled as to what happened.

"First thought was he had an accident somewhere ran off the road, who knows. Or his truck was hijacked, he was kidnapped or ran into other problems..."

More than 100 volunteers with Superstition Search and Rescue have combed the area where Jeff went missing, as a helicopter searched by air.

The family is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to Jeff.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PCSO at 520-866-5111.
