Sunday Style Review

Sunday Style Review

Our sports anchor said he thought this looked like a dress out of the 60's. It does have a bit of that feel. Patterns can be beautiful or go horribly wrong (especially on TV!) I loved the pattern on this dress because the colors are bold. It's by Nicole Miller. I haven't worn her clothing in quite a while but lately I've seen she is coming back with some fun, young looks. This dress I found at the Neiman Marcus outlet store!

PHOENIX -- People are always asking about who and what we (the news people) are wearing.  While consultants come in to work with us, there is no day to day stylist à la Rachel Zoe to craft our on-air look.  To me, fashion is all about representing who you are.  It can be a challenge as a news anchor because you are bound -- to a certain degree -- by unwritten rules of the industry.  It is, after all, news -- not a Hollywood premiere.

That having been said, I've always tried to have fun and take some risks with my look.  I enjoy wearing dresses by hip, young designers and jewelry by local artisans.  I'm always on the hunt for things that are classic or cutting edge, sophisticated or on trend.  When I travel, I love to find small out-of-the-way shops. Then again, I also love Bloomingdales, Nordstroms and Neiman Marcus.

What I've learned is that you don't always have to spend thousands of dollars to look great.  I spend money on investment pieces that I know will be in my closet for a long time. I also think nice shoes are a must.

The Sunday Style Review is a behind-the-scenes look at what I'm wearing.  And, what you think about it!  I'll also give you the scoop on great places to shop, some of my favorite websites and stores, as well as the best places to find deals!  And I'll add pictures of our stylish Sunday reporters and anchors, as well, including Marissa Wingate, Brittney ShippStacey Delikat, Carina Sonn and Jared Dillingham -- to name a few.

Fashion is inspiration, so let loose and be inspired!
