Missouri Mugs: St. Louis Arrests - April 15
Sylvester Johnson is one of three men in their 20s charged Thursday after they were allegedly involved in multiple robberies in the St. Louis area that led to a police pursuit, resulting in an officer-involved shooting in north city. Johnson, 23, tried to run from the scene, police say. However, he was caught in the 4800 block of Highland. Johnson reportedly tried to resist arrest and suffered minor injuries. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and was later released. Johnson, of the 7600 block of Lynn Avenue, was charged with first degree robbery, three counts of armed criminal action, two counts of first degree attempted robbery, resisting arrest and third degree assault on an officer. He is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
