PHOENIX -- Some residents in the Coronado Historic District opened their doors Sunday to give us a glimpse into their beautifully preserved homes all built between 1920 and 1946.

The theme of this year's home tour was handcrafted.

The homes offered a look into the rich history of the neighborhood, which features a mix of architectural styles. Many of the homes on tour were ranch-style, cottage-style and bungalow-style homes, with one featured home "a unique example of Arte Modern architecture."

The district boundaries for Coronado Historic District are roughly Virginia Avenue to Coronado Road and Eighth Street to 14th Street in downtown Phoenix.
