LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Octavia Spencer of "The Help" is the winner of the Academy Award for best supporting actress.
The 39-year-old Spencer played tart-tongued maid Minny Jackson in the movie about Southern life as the 1960s civil rights movement unfolded.
The Iranian domestic drama "A Separation" has won the best foreign language film at the Academy Awards.
It's the first time an Iranian film has taken the honor.
"Undefeated" has won the best documentary feature.
Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" has won four prizes so far at tonight's Academy Awards. It's taken the Oscars for cinematography, art direction, sound editing and sound mixing.
"Rango" won an Oscar for best animated feature film.
