This is NOT breaking news, but just something fun I would like to share.

In my spare time, I like to check out deals around the city. From great happy hours, to health products and even the latest beauty trends -- I do my research.

From time to time, to give my eyes an extra pop, I throw on the strips from the drugstore. That works pretty well, but after awhile, it’s time-consuming, messy and never lasts very long.

Although the eyelash extensions craze has been around for a few years, I decided to give them a try and wanted to share my experience.

The process takes about an hour for a full set and doesn’t hurt at all. The technician extends each individual eyelash with a strong adhesive. You don’t even smell the glue.

To make it worth your time, it’s supposed to last a few weeks before you need to fill in the lashes. Normally, the cost for a full starter set ranges from $125 to $300, depending on the salon. Cindy at Cherry, the Salon in north-central Phoenix has an eye-popping deal for $50.

I love the final result. Check out the before and after pictures. It’s clean and crisp -- not clumpy. The best part, I don’t have to spend so much time applying and rubbing off mascara every day. It’s the little things, people!

I do not endorse products, people or services but love sharing my experiences and what works for me. Good luck and feel free to share your little loves of the city with me on twitter: @brittneyshipp.
