ORACLE, Ariz. -- A 75-year-old Tucson woman died in a crash involving a sandrail and a pickup truck in Oracle last weekend.

Toni Stalker was a passenger in a 1991 SPCO sandrail when it crashed with a 2000 Ford F350 truck Saturday afternoon on Mount Lemmon Road near Fuego Road, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions and struck head-on as they came around the corner of the dirt road.

Investigators said Stalker was only wearing the lap portion of her seat belt and not the full harness.

Stalker was having difficulty breathing at the scene, was non-responsive and sustained a very serious head injury. She was transported to the University Medical Center in Tucson where she died Sunday as a result of a traumatic brain injury.

The sand rail driver, identified as Daniel Huntington, 27, of Tucson, was transported to a hospital to be treated for a knee and minor head injury.

The driver of the truck, Garland Parris, 44, of Tucson, and his 13-year-old son were not injured.

Investigators found no signs of drug or alcohol impairment on either driver.
