Map: Carl's Jr. armed robberies
PHOENIX -- Police are offering a reward to help find a suspect who has committed four armed robberies at Carl's Jr. restaurants in Phoenix.
The robberies occurred at 9100 N. Seventh St., 2750 W. Thomas Road and 10 N. 24th St. on April 23, May 4, May 27 and June 16. The Seventh Street location was hit twice.
According to police, a suspect described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 180-200 pounds with a light complexion entered the business, pointed a gun at the employees and demanded money.
"He stuck his gun out and said 'open the register,'" said "Jackie," a Carl's Jr. manager and of the victims of this crime spree.
"I never thought he was going to do what he did," explained "Jackie" - who didn't want to use her real name. "I started shaking. I was really scared."
Police believe an accomplice acted as a lookout in some of the robberies. There is no description of this person.
After receiving the money, the suspect and accomplice fled on foot.
Police released a composite sketch of the suspect on Thursday.
"With the composite and the community's help, hopefully somebody out there will recognize his face and the connection with Carl's Jr. restaurants," said Silent Witness Sgt. Darren Burch.
Silent Witness is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
