PHOENIX -- Law enforcement agencies are investigating whether someone is stealing bicycles on, and around, the ASU campus in Downtown Phoenix.

There have been several bikes reported stolen over the past couple of weeks, many of them from the neighborhood near Central and Roosevelt.

Police don't have an exact number yet, but they do have a suspect in mind. Meantime, they're urging people to be proactive.

Dennis Rogers of Bicycles of Phoenix recommends buying a lock from a company that will reimburse you for the cost of your bike if it's stolen. "Certain companies have a guarantee, but you have to meet their criteria. In other words, you have to register your bike, submit all the appropriate information. At the same time, you have to lock your bike properly," Rogers explained.
