PHOENIX -- April 15: the dreaded tax deadline. But no need to fret.
Procrastinators you have an extra two days this year to file their taxes. Still, folks are scrambling to get their paperwork together and get their tax returns postmarked by midnight April 17.
Experts at H & R Block say it's crunch time and they're ready to handle the influx of people they expect in the final 48 hours before the deadline.
"You have to be organized", says Doug Salaway, owner of the H & R Block on Camelback Road and 16th Street. "It is the most critical thing."
For those who need help filing their taxes, many businesses will be open extended hours over the next couple of days to help.
For folks with complicated taxes or those who just can't figure them out on their own, seeking expert help is the way to go. There are also added benefits, like making sure you don't miss out on any credits or deductions.
"The education credit is something alot of people overlook," explained Salaway.
Those who need more time can always file an extension. Beware if you owe money to Uncle Sam, you will still need to pay that by the deadline.
