PHOENIX (AP) — John McCain and Sarah Palin will campaign together in Arizona next week. It will be their first public appearance together since they conceded the presidential election in Phoenix in 2008.

McCain's re-election campaign released the plans Monday. He's facing the toughest re-election battle of his Senate career. Former Arizona Congressman and talk-radio host JD Hayworth is challenging McCain in the Republican primary.

Palin and McCain will be at a rally and picnic in Tucson on March 26. The event will be held at the Pima County Fairgrounds. The former running mates will head to the Phoenix suburb of Mesa for a rally at Dobson High School the next day.
