PHOENIX -- When it comes time for school to start, Grand Canyon University’s president and CEO joins deans, faculty and volunteers to welcome students to campus, unload their cars, and personally deliver their luggage to their new "home" at GCU.

During this year’s Luggage Lug, an annual two-day event requiring months of planning and more than 700 volunteers, GCU will welcome a record-breaking 3,500 students to campus. (Total enrollment will reach 6,500.)

In addition to lugging students’ belongings to their new rooms, designated staff and student leaders will guide new students through the check-in process, acquaint them with the campus, and ease their transition to college life.

3TV's Scott Pasmore met some of GCU's newest students during the Luggage Lug. He also got the lowdown on the incredible investments GCU is making in its students, as well as in its own future.
