PHOENIX -- With Thanksgiving only a week away, 3TV and Fry’s Food delivered a gift Thursday morning to The Salvation Army in the form of 1,500 turkeys.
The turkey donation was made possible from the kind donations of Arizonans who have donated to the Gobble Give Card Challenge taking place in Fry’s Food Stores across the state.
The 1,500 turkeys donated Tuesday will come in and go right back out tomorrow to families in need across the Valley so they have a turkey for their holiday table.
Some of the turkeys donated will also be used for The Salvation Army’s annual turkey dinner that takes place on Thanksgiving Day at the Phoenix Convention Center.
It is not too late to donate. Now through Nov. 20, Fry’s Food stores will be selling $10 Gobble Give scan cards. The purchase of one of these scan cards is equivalent to donating one turkey to The Salvation Army.
If you are near the Fry’s store at 3949 E. Chandler Blvd. on Tuesday, join us for our Big Give event as we collect food and turkeys throughout the day for our food-drive effort.
