PHOENIX -- 'Tis the season for bugs, scorpions and snakes. What should you do if one of them sinks their claws or stingers into you? Dr. Art Mollen had some suggestions for both prevention and treatment.

One of the products he demonstrated was the Therapik®, a device designed specifically to "relieve pain and itch without creams or medications."

"Therapik®'s patented technology delivers heat in the specific temperature range necessary to neutralize the venom from over 20,000 different species of insects and sea creatures," according to the product's website.

As for snake bites, Mollen said the best thing you can do is stay calm and call 911 so you can get emergency treatment as soon as possible.

Mollen's practice is located at 16100 N. 71st St., Scottsdale. Fore more information call 480-656-0016 or log onto www.drartmollen.com.
