SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say three people are dead and one is injured following a single-vehicle crash in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale police officer David Pubins says a pickup truck carrying two men and two children went out of control and rolled about 4 p.m. Saturday.

He says in a news release that the adult male driver and two girls, ages 11 and 12, were killed in the crash at 141st St. and Rio Verde. The man and one of the girls were thrown from the truck.

The children's father, who was a passenger, was injured but able to extricate himself after the collision.

There was no word on the cause of the crash but Pubins says alcohol and bad weather are believed to have been factors.

No names were immediately released.
