LAS VEGAS (AP) — A jury heard multiple 911 calls made by a Las Vegas Strip dancer reporting arguments with an ex-girlfriend he's charged with killing and dismembering.
Jason Omar Griffith took the witness stand Wednesday in his murder trial after two other men testified that Deborah Flores Narvaez had a violent streak.
Griffith testified that Flores quickly became "clingy" and sometimes physically combative after they became intimate in early 2010.
He says she sometimes called and texted him hundreds of times a day, and that she frequently met him unannounced at his home or at his car parked at work.
Griffith says Flores wasn't arrested and police didn't appear to take his complaints seriously.
Griffith maintains he was defending himself when Flores died in a physical struggle at his house in December 2010.
