PEORIA, Ariz. -- Peoria police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they believe is responsible for two armed robberies at grocery store pharmacies this month.

The most recent robbery happened just after 4 p.m. on Sunday at a store near Peoria and 67th avenues. The man approached the pharmacy counter wearing a medical mask and demanded oxycodone from an employee, leading the employee to believe he was armed.

After receiving the medication, he ran out of the store heading west.

Detectives believe the same suspect committed the same crime at a grocery store near Cactus Road and 83rd Avenue just before 1 p.m. on June 12. Witnesses saw the suspect leave in a black Chevy pickup truck, possibly extended cab.

The suspect appears to be a black man in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a fit build. He was wearing a baseball cap and has a unique walk.

Police said the suspect is linked to robberies in Phoenix.

Anyone with information about the suspect can contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
