TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tempe police are looking for a man who reportedly exposed himself to two teenage girls near Marcos de Niza High School.
This happened Monday around 4:30 p.m. near the Marcos de Niza campus, where the two girls were waiting to be picked up from school by their parents.
The girls told police an unknown male pulled up next to them in his vehicle. When he tried to talk to them, one of the girls noticed the suspect was exposing himself to them.
The suspect then left the area without further contact. When the victims' parents arrived, they reported the incident to school officials.
The school then notified parents of the incident. And now, many parents say they'll be especially vigilant.
"We always pick up our daughter here, on campus here," Chris Ray said. "Or she's paired up with a friend when she's walking so they can have a buddy system going."
The victims provided the following description of the suspect:
-20-25 years old
-wearing a blue striped polo shirt
The victims described the vehicle the suspect was driving as a gray car, older than 2005, with an unknown Arizona license plate.
Tempe detectives are actively working this investigation.
"It just concerns me anybody would be lurking around a high school campus," Ray said. "I'm just glad the high school is aware and police are on top of it."
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
