PHOENIX -- All the weather models are beginning to come together indicating that rain and thunderstorms will become likely in Phoenix by Saturday afternoon through Sunday.
Latest rainfall models suggest we could see up to an inch of rain at many locations with some localized areas receiving more than that. We will have to be aware for the chance of flash flooding.
We haven’t had measureable rain at Sky Harbor Airport since August 6. At this point, we expect the window for the “highest” likelihood of heavy rain from about 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.
Temperatures will also be dropping off as well. Saturday, most Valley highs will be right around 100 and by Sunday, we’ll be in the low 90s.
