GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Glendale Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a man suspected of sexually assaulting a teenage girl last month.
Police said on the evening of Sept. 29 a 15-year-old Hispanic girl was walking home in the area of 59th Avenue and Campbell Avenue when a man in a vehicle approached her.
The man reportedly forced the girl inside his vehicle at gunpoint, and then drove to the area of 59th Avenue and Missouri Avenue where he sexually assaulted her.
Prior to the incident, the man was seen on surveillance video purchasing condoms at a local convenience store.
The suspect is believed to have been driving a newer model, silver Toyota FJ Cruiser with a white roof and a black roof rack.
The man is said to be Hispanic, and approximately 27 years old. He’s around 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a black and blue striped American Eagle shirt and jeans. He has a mole under his right eye, and at the time of the assault he had a thin beard and a mustache.
