PHOENIX -- Thousands of visitors flock to Lake Powell every year for a wide variety of water activities like boating and swimming. But there's a new draw at the lake this summer: a floating restaurant.
Latitude 37 opens its doors this Thursday, July 25. The restaurant will take full advantage of the scenic beauty of Lake Powell, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a balcony area with extraordinary views.
The eatery is accessible from both the land and water, with temporary slips available for boaters looking to grab a bite.
"It's pretty cool," says Latitude 37's executive chef Matt Smith. "It's a fun vibe, and we're right on the water. It gives folks an opportunity to join us from land or on the water."
On Monday's Good Morning Arizona, Smith cooked up a sample of some of the tasty food guests can expect at the floating restaurant. He made his signature Black & Blue Chicken Burger with Roasted Garlic Aioli, and his Loaded Baked Potato Salad.
Latitude 37 will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also features a full bar menu, and a wide variety of appetizers and milkshakes.
Lake Powell is the second largest man-made lake in the United States. It has more shoreline than the western United States and features countless canyons and inlets to explore.
