Dustin Kalkberrner, 24, wa struck by a vehicle Dec. 27 at University Drive and Ash Avenue in Tempe while riding his skateboard.

Security video released by the Tempe Police Department shows Kalkbrenner on his skateboard moments before he was struck.

In the same video, police identified a silver Nissan Xterra as the suspect vehicle.

Police say the Xterra had the right-of-way. However, the driver and passenger failed to stop and render aid.

"How can you live with yourself knowing you did something like this?" Simone'lackmore said.

Witnesses described the driver as a white man in his 20s with bushy brown shoulder-length hair and a hair comb sticking out of it.

Witnesses said another white man was riding in the passenger seat.
