Map: Child hit by car
PHOENIX -- A child was hit by a car near J.B. Sutton Elementary School in Phoenix Monday morning.
The 7-year-old girl was struck by a minivan while crossing the street at 31st Avenue and Roosevelt Street at about 8:30 a.m. Police said it appears the child was in a crosswalk.
Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump said the child was walking and talking at the scene. She was transported to a hospital in stable condition. There is no information about her injuries at this time.
Crump said the driver may be cited.
