CAMP VERDE - The following is a release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office:

On May 27, 2008, at approximately 12:30 P.M., Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested 44-year-old Rimrock resident Anne Kind after leaving court.

Detectives had been looking for Kind during the last few weeks intending to arrest her on several narcotics charges resulting from search warrants served in the Rimrock area late last year. The warrants resulted in the recovery of narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia indicating heavy sales and use by those targeted in the investigation. Detectives learned that Kind had a scheduled court appearance at the Camp Verde Justice Center on May 27 regarding a DUI case.

Detectives confirmed Kind’s presence during the morning court session on May 27th. At 12:15 P.M., Kind exited the courthouse and was contacted by YCSO detectives. After a brief delay due to further business with her attorney, Kind was arrested on warrants resulting from the aforementioned investigation. Kind admitted she knew detectives had served search warrants resulting in the drug charges, but her attorney had advised not to have any contact with YCSO. Kind denied any current drug use.

Kind was transported to, and booked at Camp Verde Detention Center. A booking search by jail staff revealed Kind was in possession of methamphetamine stuffed inside the front of her pants. Kind was additionally charge with Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Taking Drugs into a Correctional Facility. Kind is currently held on 10 felony counts involving various narcotics charges.
