26 undocumented immigrants found in alleged drop house

PHOENIX -- Twenty-six undocumented people were found in an alleged drop house in Phoenix Monday morning.

The Phoenix Police Department received a call that a woman had escaped from a drop house in the area of 35th and Dunlap avenues.
Officers located the house at 3550 W. Puget.
Approximately 12 males tried to run from the house but were taken into custody, according to Detective Stacie Derge. Officers found 14 more people inside.
Of the 26 people found, two Hispanic males were under 18. There were two adult Hispanic females and 22 adult Hispanic males.
Derge said police did not find any weapons or coyotes in the group.
All of the people were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which has assumed the investigation.
