PHOENIX -- A man was shot to death while riding his bicycle in South Phoenix early Monday morning.
It happened at Eighth Street just south of Broadway Road.
According to police, the victim was on his bike when several men approached him. That's when shots rang out.
Police said the man was hit several times.
Witnesses reportedly called in the shooting.
"When the witnesses cames outside, there were three nondescript males wearing all black in close proximity to the victim," said Lt. Scott Sowerwine of the Phoenix Police Department.
The victim, an Hispanic man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
The man has not been identified.
Police tracked down a possible suspect at a nearby Burger King. There is no word on the location of the other suspects.
Investigators are trying to determine what led to the shooting.
