PHOENIX -- Dozens of guests and employees at a northwest Phoenix hotel were evacuated Sunday night after a what appeared to be a smoke bomb of some sort went off.
Fire crews are still trying to figure out exactly what happened at the Hilton Garden Inn near Pinnacle Peak and 19th Avenue.
The device was set off inside a fourth-floor room. Inside that room, authorities found a variety of weapons, including guns and bullets.
Thick smoke filled two floors of the hotel, sparking the evacuation 35 rooms and a total of 60 guests and employees. Those affected guests were later relocated to other rooms.
While nobody was seriously injured, one man was treated for smoke inhalation.
