PHOENIX -- Police say two bodies were found inside a car in a South Phoenix parking lot around 2 a.m. Friday.
Police officers responded to reports of shots fired and vehicles chasing each other in the area of 32nd Street and University Drive.
A security guard told police he heard gunshots. When he went outside, he found two African-American men dead in a silver Dodge Caliber.
One of the windows of the car appeared to have been shot out.
Police say both victims, ages 33 and 38, had apparent gunshot wounds and ultimately crashed into a tree on the south side of East University Drive.
The cause of the initial altercation is unknown.
Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as a dark Honda. Police do not have any suspects at the moment and are searching for clues.
