PHOENIX -- Police are investigating the discovery of a body in the road at 16th Street and Roeser Road.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim next to a vehicle in the front parking lot of an apartment complex.
The 35-year-old white man had been shot several times, according to Phoenix police Detective Marysol Larrison.
Police are not sure if the man was shot at the scene or was dumped there.
Police are trying to determine if the shooting was gang related.
While they do have one witness, officers are asking anyone who might have seen what happened to contact the police.
Roeser Road is between Southern Avenue and Broadway Road. The area was closed for hours while police conducted their investigation.
