UPDATE JAN. 5:
MARICOPA COUNTY -- Two hikers missing in the Superstition Mountains were found late Monday morning, according to Lt. Brian Lee with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Lee said sheriff's deputies are reporting from the command post that Keysha Gongalez, 20, and her boyfriend, Miguel Jimenez, 19, appear to be OK. They were evaluated by medical personnel.
A bloodhound led rescuers to the hikers, who said it had gotten dark and they lost their way back.
The couple told rescuers they were cold and hungry.
