CONGRESS - The following is a release from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office:
Yavapai County / 3TV
Roy’s wife told deputies he became upset and started pushing her sister and then tried to punch her in the face. She blocked the attack and was struck in the arm. Her brother-in-law attempted to intervene to protect both women and was punched and pushed by Roy. The attack caused him to fall on his artificial leg and hurt his hip. During the assault, Roy claimed he had guns in the house and would use them against the victims. Roy’s wife, knowing he did have access to firearms, left the location with her sister and brother-in-law in fear of their safety and called YCSO.
Deputies went to the trailer park and eventually located Roy at the nearby grocery store. Roy was arrested, transported to the Prescott Detention Center, and booked for three counts of Domestic Violence Assault, and three counts of Threats per Domestic Violence.
Roy’s wife sustained injuries to her left arm and hand. His brother-in-law injured his hip from the fall and received an abrasion to his face. No visible injuries were noted on Roy’s sister-in-law other than being sore from Roy pushing her.
