Chandler police search for bank robber

CHANDLER -- Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Chandler bank Thursday afternoon.

According to the Chandler Police Department, a male suspect entered the National Bank of Arizona, 6025 W. Chandler Blvd., where he told tellers he had a gun and demanded money.

Police say a weapon was never displayed.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, in his mid to late 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, black goatee, wearing a black button-up long-sleeve shirt, and a black baseball cap.

The suspect was seen leaving in a black Chevrolet pickup truck with an extended cab, chrome rims and tinted windows.
