AVONDALE - The following is a release from the Avondale Police Department:

At approximately 2:00 p.m. On July 17, 2008, two male juveniles were arrested in connection with a July 15, 2008 armed robbery.  A third and final suspect was arrested on July 18, 2008.

On July 15, 2008 at 9:17 p.m. Avondale Police responded to the area of the 114^th Avenue and Buckeye Road, in reference to a report of an armed robbery. A male victim reported he was walking on Apache Street west of 107^th Avenue in Avondale when a vehicle drove up and stop next to him.  At this time two juvenile subjects exited the vehicle, one of the subjects pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim’s chest and demanded property form him.  The victim met the subject’s demand and the two juveniles got back into the vehicle and drove away. The victim was not injured during the incident.

All three suspects were booked into the Maricopa County Durango Juvenile Detention Facility on armed robbery charges.
