Ongoing child molestation accusations lead to man's arrest

The following news release was sent by the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office:

HUMBOLDT - On October 22, 2008, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of ongoing child molestation involving Andrew Hellman, a 49-year-old resident of Humboldt. Following this preliminary investigation, Hellman was arrested for 8 counts of child molestation, 4 counts of sexual conduct with a minor, and 1 count of indecent exposure. Initial information indicates some of the victims include minor children in the family, but further details are still pending as to who is specifically involved and where the incidents occurred.

Andrew Hellman was arrested and faces several charges included molestation and sexual conduct with a minor.

The case is currently under investigation and additional charges are likely.

Hellman is being held without bond at the Prescott Detention Center and is expected in court later this week.

The media release will be updated when additional details are released by detectives.
