Shooting victim extremely critical

PHOENIX – Police are looking for a shooting suspect that opened fire on a crowd, hitting and seriously injuring one person.

The shots rang out around 2 a.m. on Sunday near 2nd Street and Jackson. According to Sgt. Andy Hill, two brothers were among a large group of people who were standing in the parking lot behind a bar in the 400 block of S. 2nd Street. That is when a vehicle reportedly drove by and one of the passengers fired upon the crowd, striking one of the brothers.

That shooting victim, a male who has not been identified, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Details on the suspects or motives are limited but police say their silver vehicle was last seen northbound on 3rd Street.
