Johns and alleged prostitutes arrested in downtown bust

PHOENIX – A prostitution bust in Phoenix resulted in the arrest of over a dozen people.

The Phoenix Police Department’s VICE worked with the South Mountain precinct on Tuesday afternoon to implement a prostitution enforcement program.
Police say the investigation focused on both the alleged prostitutes as well as “johns.” The area law enforcement targeted was from 10 th Ave. to 15th Ave. along Van Buren and from 15th Ave. to 31st Ave. on Buckeye Road.
A total of 9 alleged “johns” and 5 women suspected of being prostitutes were taken into custody. The following are the named suspects: Michele Dominique, Miguel Duran, Raul Aguilar, Mary Holden, Juan Benavidez, Espiridion Serna, Armando Gutierrrez, Ramona Sullins, Teresa Thomas, Ray Palmer, Angela Donathan, Felipe Perez-Silva, Ramon Tarazon, Mario Cruz-Gonzales.
