Puppy poisoned, killed with strychnine-laced food

MORRISTOWN -- The following is a press release from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office:

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Animal Cruelty Unit is asking for the public’s help in determining who may be responsible for poisoning a young puppy residing at a home in Morristown in the far west valley.

Miley, five month old Australian cattle dog that was killed by poisoning.

Miley, seen in the attached photo, was a perfectly healthy five month old Australian cattle dog when she was killed by someone who used strychnine tainted food to poison the young dog.

The case is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Animal cruelty unit. Any one with information is asked to call 602 876 1681. A reward may be offered for information which leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible.
