PHOENIX (AP) -- Plans are humming along for a musical instrument museum to be built in northeast Phoenix's Desert Ridge area in north Phoenix.
The museum has already secured 21 acres for $14.4 million.
The museum intends to buy, borrow and accept donated instruments with a focus on historical and rare instruments from around the world.
Audio and video clips would explain how the instruments are played.
The exhibits would fill 75-thousand square feet of space.
Organizers are busy trying to raise $100 million in startup costs for construction and initial acquisition of musical
instruments.
