TUCSON -- Tucson police say a woman has been charged with killing her boyfriend's two children.

Reina I. Gonzales, 22, was indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of child abuse in the deaths of 4-year-old Ariana Payne and 5-year-old Tyler Payne.

The father of the children, Christopher Payne, 28, of Tucson, was charged previously with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of child abuse with death or serious physical injury, and two counts of abandonment or concealment of a body in the deaths of his children.

Ariana, who had broken ribs and a broken spine, was found in February in a storage locker.

Tyler's body has not been found. Authorities believe his remains were placed in a trash bin at a storage locker facility and dumped into a landfill. Police searched the dump twice for the boy's remains and did not find them.

Tucson Police Dept.
Reina I. Gonzales was arrested in early March.

Investigators believe Payne killed the two children last year between March sixth and September first.

Gonzales' attorney says the two Payne children were seen alive and well in July 2006.
