Criminal charges possible in veteran home violations
09:25 PM Mountain Standard Time on Wednesday, March 28, 2007
You've heard the reports of abuse at the state's veteran's nursing home. Now the County Attorney's office wants to know if it was a crime.
Issues at the Valley’s state veteran’s nursing home continue to snowball.
Now the county is looking for possible criminal violations.
Earlier this week we introduced you to Linda Mustain.
Her dying brother-in-law was in the home last year.
She documented her complaints and says his final days were spent without proper care or concern.
The elderly often become vulnerable, either unable to speak for themselves or don't want to burden anyone with their problems, but now officially it's the county's problem.
If you know someone who was neglected or abused at the veteran’s nursing home in Phoenix you should contact the County Attorney's office.
