Mother and baby missing
12:22 PM Mountain Standard Time on Tuesday, January 30, 2007
An Amber Alert issued by the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department for a missing mother and child remains in effect Tuesday.
A witness told investiggators that the two were forced into a vehicle outside of the mother's east Mesa home early Monday morning.
The child, Isidro Ramirez, is described as a 13-month-old Hispanic male, 2 feet tall and 40 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes and has a scar on his forehead and a birthmark on his back. He was last wearing a diaper and a white T-shirt.
The mother, 19-year-old Noemi Ramirez, is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet tall and 170 pounds. She has long black hair with brown eyes. She was last wearing a white tank-top and black spandex pants.
The two were reportedly forced into a blue 1990 Chevy extended-cab truck with Arizona license, 709-SCM. The vehicle is lowered with wide wheels.
The truck reportedly is registered to a former co-worker of Ramirez and that person loaned the vechicle to her.
The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and about 22 to 24 years old with a muscular build. He was reportedly wearing light-brown pants, an unknown colored T-shirt and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with no further description.
The mother reportedly yelled to a witness that she was going to California.
Investigators are not sure if Ramirez knows the suspects or if she went willingly.
