Phoenix police looking for robbery spree suspects
09:29 PM Mountain Standard Time on Thursday, October 26, 2006
Phoenix police are looking for a few people suspected in 14-robberies in less than a week's time.
Investigators said they've robbed people in parking lots from 40th street to 27th avenue.
Thirty-one-year-old Marcus Jefferson sits outside his Phoenix apartment nightly and is always watching. He knows there are things going on that aren’t supposed to be happening in his neighborhood.
Add to that list an armed robbery on October 22nd that took place in his parking lot.
The incident is one of 14 armed robberies committed over a 6-day period that began October 19th.
The victims have been approached by armed suspects who’ve threatened them and taken their personal belongings.
Police said the suspects have targeted people at gas stations and parking lots in the areas of 40th street to 27th avenue and McDowell Road to Bethany Home Road.
At least two people have been shot. In one robbery, the suspects reportedly did something even more disturbing. They pointed a gun at a two-year-old child while they robbed the parent.
Police want everyone to be aware and use good judgment if they are approached.
