A Scottsdale couple will be arraigned today on child abuse charges after their children were discovered severely malnourished.

Blair and Kimu Parker are facing a variety of charges.

They were arrested April 28, after a social worker called police when their 3-year-old daughter, Zion, was admitted to the hospital. She weighed just 12 pounds.

Their other two children were also found severely underweight.

Blair told police their family practices a Vegan lifestyle and did not consume meat or dairy products.

Both parents are facing three counts of child abuse, neglect and endangerment.
