GILBERT - A car was stolen right in front of police.

3TV was there as a guy takes off with a car right in front of the Gilbert Police Department. Officers quickly took off after the suspect. Police tried to relay what was going on across their radios.

Police even talked about the suspect making some dangerous moves just a few miles down the road. The chase was called off a short time later.

According to police, it started when the owner of the car was going to sell it to the man. The owner became uncomfortable with the situation and told the man he needed to talk to the bank. He drove the man to the police station instead.

Officers did catch up with the guy who sparked the chase. Sean Gleason, 42, is now facing some very serious charges.
