GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Glendale Police arrested a convicted felon this week after learning that he was in possession of a large assortment of firearms.
Police said they began investigating 38-year-old Eric Davis after receiving a tip that described him as a “very boastful gun wielding felon.”
Glendale Police’s Repeat Offender Squad learned that Davis was living in the 8700 block of West Lane Avenue and that he had prior convictions for charges such as possession of dangerous drugs for sale and misconduct involving weapons.
Detectives obtained a search warrant and entered Davis’ home on Thursday morning.
Inside the residence police said they found 12 firearms, including assault rifles and semi-automatic handguns. Approximately 10,000 rounds of ammunition were also located inside the home.
Davis was arrested and booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on several felony charges including misconduct involving weapons.
