Map: Loop 101 crash
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The southbound lanes of the Loop 101 have been reopened following a fatal accident near the Loop 202 Red Mountain.
DPS said two cars somehow struck each other head on just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
One person died in the accident.
Traffic was being routed off the freeway at the Loop 202 and allowed to reenter at University Drive.
